Company ProfileClark MotorSports has been providing quality motor sport entertainment since 1996, when we originally set out to put on Canadian-American Demolition Derby Challenges. Since inception, we have expanded to putting on demolition derby shows in cooperation with Feld Motor Sports (formerly Clear Channel Entertainment) for their Monster Jams. Clark MotorSports is looking forward to putting on bigger and better shows in the future with higher purses. To do this it takes loyal advertising partnerships along with participant and fan patronage of these businesses. Clark MotorSports is also involved in many charitable events and looks forward to supporting more charities and communities throughout the area and country. Clark MotorSports CEO, Mike Clark has been around the sport since he was born. He started out driving demolition derbies when he was 15 at the now closed Spanaway Speedway with his father, Elmer. He later progressed into figure eights then to driving trucks. Some may remember when Mike heard of the eminent closure of the speedway he set out to get a new facility built in the Pierce County area via a petition to the County Council however, the 120,000 signatures of the fans and local drivers were not enough and the council decided to do nothing. Elmer Clark, now Mike's assistant has been around racing all his life as well. Elmer started racing in 1970 and has been from Washington to California. He has also derbied all across the country and even went to New York where he participated in the World's Championship Demolition Derby. He also has been an active participant in the Canadian-American Demo Derby Challenges since the mid '70's. Mike and Elmer have been active participants in the Canadian-American Demo
Challenges since '96 and make the tow up to Canada once a year in late August.
They both enjoy the sport and want to keep it alive here in the Northwest.
Please welcome Ross Edwards to the CMS team! Ross has been part of Demolition Derbies in the NW United States as well as all over Western Canada and has a serious passion for the sport. Ross has participated in Derbies for many years going back to the early 70's as a member of the BC Driver's club in Cloverdale, BC and moving to the PNE in Vancouver where he was amongst the most elite to hold a number of top 10 Championships. He has also participated in many Can-Am demolition derbies. We are greatful to have Ross on our team and he has agreed to assist CMS in organizing derby shows in Canada including BC Place for 2012!
